Icheon, is a small city located in Gyeonggi Province. This particular city is famous within the peninsula for its local farm products such as rice and peaches; but more than its agricultural products though, it is famous for the world class pottery that is produced there as well as the naturally occurring hot springs.
Icheon’s hottest attraction is Icheon’s ceramic village located in Sindun-myeon. The village has rapidly developed over the past few years and has turned into an extraordinary location which holds over 300 ceramic art studios, 40 of which still produce ceramics with wood-fired kilns. The city also provides a ceramic museum, where multiple cultural experiences take place and where the visitos can try making ceramics firsthand. What is more the museum also has many shops where the unique ceramics works can be purchased at reasonable prices.
Another attraction is represented by the Icheon’s hot springs which are located in the Anheung-dong area. This natural hot springs are renowned for their healings properties. The water temperature varies from about 28 to 31 degrees Celsius.
